Set it up in - a Zimbabwe (Zimbabwe);
Africans a - liberate Zimbabwe (Zimbabwe)... all ZANLA guerrilla fighters know these lyrics. Remember that music on Independance day at the National Stadium? Soon we will know the real revolutionary.
Gentlemen, i have read your articles in Perspectives.
The biggest problem in Africa today is "political acquiescence" - accepting and agreeing to any government policy or agenda without objection. Clean politics is all about challenge. You fail to challenge your leaders, you make them inebriated with power and they soon become your enemies!
Another major problem is silence on the part of those "in the know". By the time you realise you have to wake up the people for open defiance and civil disobedience, it will be too late because the people would be ignorant about constitutionalism, democracy and their rights.
We need civic education, now than ever before, for the Zimbabwean voting peasant. Change will then just be a matter of time. It is never too late to start - take a minute to see: http://www.sadterm.s5.com/custom2.html Mkuula P Add your response to Readers' Corner |
