Morgan Tsvangirai- A Successful Failure

Rejoice NgwenyaHARARE, Mar. 14 -  In May 2005, Police and Para-military forces on the instruction of president Robert Mugabe of Zimbabwe carried out a brutal operation called 'Operation Murambatsvina' (meaning literally "remove the dirt") in which homes and livelihoods of over one million Zimbabwe's urban poorest of the poor were destroyed. This action sent shockwaves around Africa and the world resulting in an UN-sponsored investigation in which Anna Tabaijuka, the Executive Director of UN-HABITAT castigated Mugabe and came within syllables of calling him a modern-day Idi Amin. At the time, Morgan Tsvangirai, the leader of Movement for Democratic Change MDC, Zimbabwe's largest opposition party, was expected to have spearheaded a national civic uprising that would have completely wiped out Mugabe's supremacy, but that never came.

Kosovo Brief

BELGRADE, Serbia, MAR. 10 - On 17 February 2008 in South-eastern Europe, the Serbian Southern province of Kosovo declared independence from Republic of Serbia, and self proclaimed new Republic of Kosovo. New proclaimed Republic of Kosovo was later recognized by few sovereign states, but not by the UN. Involvement of the world's two (the EU and the US) out of five superpowers in this event can be explained through experimental theory and as a secret plan of the European Union and the United States.

Kenya: The Annan-brokered Peace May take a long nap

My country’s madness has been exorcised at least for the foreseeable future.   However, it is not clear, at this stage, what precisely the Annan-brokered power-sharing deal entails for Kenya, or indeed whether it is a good or reliable example to emulate.
