Has The Government Complied?

LUSAKA, Mar. 19 - In 2001, the Government agreed with the recommendation of an independent consultant to the World Bank that the allocation of project funds should be made available annually to the citizens of Zambia via various means including the Internet. The aim was to preclude the possibility of funds borrowed by the Zambian people to be frittered away on vehicles, repainting of government buildings, expensive and unproductive workshops, and other waste. The people of Zambia need to know where the borrowed money is being spent the entrepreneurs and taxpayers should learn what constitutes the massive debt that the nation owes. Unfortunately, neither the World Bank nor the Government (and, the other "usual supects" -- DANIDA, etc) actually intended to carry out its signed on agreement.
